Ten Reasons You Need Jesus--Spring 2009

Why did God give Israel the Ten Commandments?  Are these ten laws just a brutal litmus test dreamed up by an angry God?  Do they have a valid place in the life of Christians today?

The truth is, these commandments were given by a gracious God to a people who already had His grace and favor.  They were never designed to be a means by which one could earn God's favor, but rather they were a beautiful picture of what mankind was originally designed to be.  But more than that (as our title for the spring suggests) they act as a mirror for us, exposing our hearts, and directing us towards our utter need for Jesus Christ.

Ever struggle with restlessness, lust, jealousy, or contentment?  Well, this is the series for you.  Join us on Thursday nights at 7pm in Ramsay Parlor (beginning 1/15/09).

Chicago Spring Break 2009

We are doing something a bit different this year and headed to the South Side of Chicago to learn from and work with Sunshine Gospel Ministries.  This is an excellent ministry that teaches folks how to think Biblically about loving the poor.  It will be a week of learning and experiencing how to share the gospel through word and deed.  If you'd like more information, or to sign up for the trip, please click here.
